I also live in a vacation hot spot but tucked back into a residential area that is quiet. The traffic is horrendous and it's a small fortunate to dine out. So we stay in and enjoy our little oasis!

My parents home is very similar, tucked away and on the marsh. Thank god for the hideouts during the hustle and bustle! I’m enjoying every moment I can while it slowly slips away, such a paradox of feelings to love them at every stage but holding onto their littleness. Enjoy those visits and your oasis!
I exchanged the humidity for heat so dry your skin falls off :). Right now my favorite summer activity is swimming in the lake behind the house I'm living in. Feeling super grateful for the space I have landed in and the access to water.

Yesss agreed! I think it can go both ways for a lot of people.. heat can really bring out the best or the worst in people. Luckily, we are only in the beginning of the summer where everyone seems legitimately happy to be alive. I hope it keeps up because I’m here for it!
